Trunk shows were originally a great way for designers to directly sell to consumers. They are a great way to test out new product before making a huge commitment on a big order, give the customers a chance to meet the designer, and the designer a chance to make personal relationships with customers, ultimately resulting in brand loyalty and new clientele. Today they are still extremely important for smaller brands. It gives them the exposure they need to reach a bigger audience that they wouldn’t get otherwise if they were just online or just unknown. Also, trunk shows are important for special occasions, like wedding dress hunting, because it allows the customer to work with the designer or sales executive directly to exactly achieve the perfect dress for the big day.

Here is a mock Trunk Show invitation I made for Urban Outfitters Mens!

I really like your trunk show invitation, it looks fun, summery and like a cool event I wouldn’t want to miss. I also like how in your post you mentioned that trunk shows are important because people get to meet the designers behind the clothes that they’re buying, I’ve gotten to do that a few times and it just makes it all the more meaningful for me to wear the clothes later on.
